Our Story: How Island Time Got Started

Island Time Mobile Detailing was founded in June 2020 by Brandon Babb, a Lynchburg, Tennessee native who traded in a welding career for a pressure washer, a polishing machine, and a whole lot of ambition.

When the pandemic disrupted his previous career, Brandon didn’t wait around. He turned a pivot into a purpose, channeling the same precision and craftsmanship he’d developed as a welder into building something of his own on the Emerald Coast. What started as a mobile operation has grown into a full-service shop and mobile business based in Destin, serving vehicle owners across Northwest Florida.

The name says something about the pace, but don’t let it fool you. Brandon and the team move deliberately because that’s what quality requires. Every vehicle that comes through Island Time gets the time it deserves, no shortcuts, no rushing to the next job.
