Window Tinting in Destin, FL
Good Tint Handles Florida’s Relentless Sun
Window tint does a lot more than give your vehicle a cleaner look. Professional-grade nano-ceramic window tint blocks a significant amount of solar heat and harmful UV rays before they ever enter your vehicle, making a real difference in cabin comfort, interior preservation, and even fuel efficiency on hot Florida days.
At Island Time Mobile Detailing, we install American Standard Window Film (ASWF), a professional-grade nano-ceramic tint that performs at a higher level than standard dyed or metalized films. ASWF is non-metallic, meaning it delivers superior heat rejection without interfering with phone signals, GPS, or electronic key fobs. Every installation is performed by an ASWF-authorized and certified installer at our Destin shop, and every job is backed by a manufacturer warranty.

Certified Installation. Warranted Results.
ASWF’s nano-ceramic film is engineered to reject heat and block UV without the signal interference or the purple haze that cheaper dyed films develop over time. It stays clear, performs consistently, and holds up to Florida’s year-round sun exposure.
As an ASWF authorized and certified installer, we follow the installation process the warranty requires, which means your film is applied correctly from day one and your coverage stays intact. If you ever have a warranty question or issue, we’re here to help you through it.

Frequently Asked Questions About Window Tinting
Q: What is nano-ceramic window tint?
Q: How dark can I tint my windows in Florida?
Florida law requires a minimum of 28% VLT (visible light transmission) on front side windows and 15% VLT on rear side windows and the back windshield for non-commercial vehicles. We’ll help you choose a shade that looks great and keeps you on the right side of Florida tint law.
Q: Do you offer full windshield tinting?
No. Full windshield tinting is not legal in Florida, so it’s not a service we offer. What we do offer is a sun visor strip, which applies tint to the top portion of the windshield down to the legal line. It reduces glare, takes the edge off direct sun, and gives your vehicle a clean, finished look without putting you on the wrong side of Florida law. Add-on pricing starts at $75.
